How to Make Your Flower Vases Sparkle!
Well, I don’t know what it’s like where you live, but here in Northern California, even though its the 3rd day of summer, it’s raining! Too wet to paint the in-progress chicken coop or work in the garden so…guess I’ll do some cleaning!
Here’s a simple but wonderfully effective way to clean a really gross glass vase..the secret is vinegar! My grandmother taught me to wash the windows of her old Victorian house with vinegar and newspaper and it really makes glass sparkle! Think it will work on this?
I needed a small vase and found this out in the garden shed…shouldn’t put them away dirty like this but, well, I must have been in a hurry! First gather your supplies:
Place your vase in warm water, a few tablespoons of vinegar (any kind works-it’s the acid that matters) and a few drops of dish soap:
Now go pick the flowers you’ll put inside after it’s soaked a few minutes! Scrub clean with a bottle brush (I love this one with sponge on the end!) and -gorgeous clean glass! Now add flowers and brighten a dreary day!
