Great Granola!
I love granola….Well, some granola. I guess I’m picky, but I’m allergic to walnuts, not nuts about raisins, don’t like burnt bits around the edges and like it sweet but not too sweet! And now I’ve found a recipe I just love! It’s takes less than 20 mins to make and lasts for a long time sealed in a mason jar! It’s good as a snack on it’s own, or in a bowl with milk for breakfast. The recipe, from Woman’s Day magazine, is very simple:
I use dried cranberries instead of cherries and add about 1/3 cup more pecans. I think this summer, if we go hiking, I throw in some m&m’s for my husband and use it for trail mix!
I store mine in 8 oz. canning jars because I like the way it looks and it’s a convenient two servings, but a zip lock bag would do just as well. Give it a try it’s as good as it is simple!
